Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigators identified the suspect in the July 9, 2013 trooper-involved shooting.
Kermit Lee Farrish, 33, of Tulsa.
Farrish sustained a gunshot wound to an extremity after attempting to take the trooper's weapon during a brief scuffle. The incident occurred during a traffic stop for an expired tag. The trooper pulled Farrish over at approximately 1:00 A.M. near the intersection of 11th and Garnett in Tulsa.
A passenger in Farrish's vehicle fled the scene during the traffic stop and has not yet been identified.
He was described as a black male in his 20's or 30's.
Farrish was released Wednesday morning from St. John Medical Center and booked into the Tulsa County jail on various charges including felony assault and battery on a peace officer.
The trooper involved in the shooting is 29 year-old Shiloh Hall who graduated from the 57th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy in 2007. Hall was placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
